Hastings Community Foundation

Ensuring a Legacy

Since 1987, the Hastings Community Foundation has been the trusted expert on strengthening our community through philanthropy. With a commitment to long-term growth and the support of our fund advisors, we serve the Hastings area by providing a flexible vehicle for donors with varied philanthropic desires, receiving and managing endowments for the needs of Hastings and acting as a leader for the local philanthropic community.

Our growth is not just measured in dollars – but also in impact. In 1994, our Community Grants program awarded $2,000 to local nonprofit organizations. Today, that same program awards more than $120,000 annually. Our first Give Hastings Day yielded $339,990. A decade later, Give Hastings Day has now generated a combined $5.5 million to Adams County nonprofits and projects.

We host more than 140 funds with assets of approximately $15 million. Our endowed funds provide annual support for community organizations like United Way, Hastings Symphony, and Crossroads Mission Avenue. Our scholarships provide thousands of dollars annually to local high school students. Additional funds support community amenities like the Highland Park Arboretum, Hike and Bike Trail and the Adams County Veterans Monument. We're proud of our service to the community and we're just getting started.

The Right Move

With our continued success, the Hastings Community Foundation began discussions about identifying a new office location with visibility that matched our level of impact. We were not looking for a quick move, we were looking for the right move. With purchase of space in the Stein Building, we’d have a location that provides for enhanced impact, increased visibility, improved accessibility, collaborative opportunities and long-term sustainability.
